We're looking for an energetic and hands-on Assistant Site Manager to join our team at DMS Pukepack in Te Puke!

Your job

As the Assistant Site Manager, you’ll bring your leadership skills to the forefront to manage the day-to-day operations of the site with a key focus on operational productivity, quality and safety.

You’ll work closely with the Site Manager to facilitate cross-departmental collaboration and efficiency while integrating different ideas and solutions.  You will champion and oversee health and safety initiatives, lead site-wide operational projects, provide leadership and support to department heads and drive continuous improvement across the site.

We’re big on using digital tools and often drive our people and business to use online tools and software so being comfortable with technology is an advantage.

• Proven experience in leadership and management.
• High level of attention to detail and organisation skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Able to problem-solve and react quickly to changing circumstances.   
• Passionate about delivering high standards and driving operational excellence.
• Able to manage your own workload and juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Culturally sensitive and able to work with a diverse workforce
• Experience in post-harvest operations or a similar environment is preferred.

Our packhouse operations operate 24/7 during peak seasons (March to June), therefore flexibility to work outside of normal hours and weekends will be required.
