Quality Manager

We are looking for a people-focused and motivated leader to join our team at DMS Pukepack in Te Puke.

This role is about more than quality, we’re looking for someone who can inspire and lead a team, build strong relationships, keep things moving and make good decisions in a fast-paced environment.

You don’t need to be a quality expert. If you’re a great leader with the right attitude and a willingness to learn, we’ll support you to develop the quality, food safety and compliance knowledge you need.

The role

As our Quality Manager, you’ll inspire and support our Quality team while working closely with the wider packhouse team to ensure everything runs smoothly. You will also be someone who our management team look to for support, guidance and steadfast in the Quality space.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading, supporting and developing the Quality team.
• Managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving and making decisions when things don’t go to plan.
• Ensuring quality, food safety and compliance standards are maintained.
• Supporting continuous improvement across the Quality team and our processes.

About you

You’ll bring:

• Previous experience leading, supervising or managing a team.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to motivate, support and hold people accountable.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach.
• Excellent organisation skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Confidence making decisions and adapting when circumstances change.
• A willingness to learn and develop your quality and food safety knowledge.

Experience in quality control, food production or a packhouse environment is an advantage, but it’s not essential. If you’re a strong people leader who’s ready for a new challenge, don’t rule yourself out because you don’t have a quality background.
